This project was supported by Malta Arts Fund - Project Support Grant and was part of the Spazju Kreattiv season programme for 2017. If an inanimate system has the potential for animate growth, isn't it, by the argument from potential, an animate system? If an inanimate system is able to support a substantial number of animate forms, are these organisms not an intricate part of the said system, arising from, and composed of, inanimate? Nature has evolved similar solutions to different challenges in individual species - which solutions, developed (arguably) independently. The final outcome is similar, if not the same. Self-similarity in all that is. Both at a macroscopic level - anatomy, morphology, and at a microscopic level - biochemistry and physiology. Thread is inhibition. Thread is interference. Thread is an impediment. (2016-2017)
